Priyabrata Satapathy

Priyabrata Satapathy is a legal professional with his master degree in Law and working in development sector with different national and international organization of Natural Resources Management and Governance. He is actively involved In different research on water, forest natural resources and climate change issues. He has worked on a number of assignments on environmental decision making process, forest resources, land governance like land rights and different policies in Odisha and other parts of the country. He is working with NRM more than fourteen years of experience. He has a good experience on drafting of legal documents, filling and arguing cases before different forum on different issues like land, forest, water and other environmental issues.

Pranab Ranjan Choudhury

Pranab Ranjan Choudhury, a Post Graduate in Forestry having more than 22 years of experience in developmental sector that also includes 8 year scientist in Indian Council of Agriculture Research. As practicing consultant and researcher, he has worked in India, Bangladesh and Nepal for multilateral and bilateral projects, State government and with grassroots NGOs. His areas of expertise includes inter disciplinary issues around land, water, forest governance and livelihoods. He heads Baitarani Initiative as the Executive Director.

Padma Keshari Sahoo

Padma Keshari Sahoo is a Post Graduate in WRDM from IIt, Kharagpur and B.Tech in Agricultural Engineering from OUAT. He has about 10 years of diversified experience in various ilateral and multilateral projects. His areas of expertise include program conceptualization, Problem Analysis and Design, PIM, Reporting and Documentation and application of Geographical Information System (GIS). He is a Trustee of Baitarani Initiative.

Dr. Sukanta Kumar Pradhan

Dr. Sukanta Kumar Pradhan is a Graduate in Agriculture Science and a Post Graduate in Bio-Informatics with more than 10 years of experience working with government and NGO on natural resource management and Bio- informatics with focus on water and livelihood. He now heads the department of Bio-informatics at Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology, Bhubaneswar.

Ms. Jayasshree Satpathy

Ms. Jayasshree Satpathy is having more than 12 years of experience in the field of accounts, office management and logistics. She exposed to different international Funding Agency projects like DANTB, OFSDP etc.

Team

Apart from 50 numbers of village level cadres, 10 full time and 5 project staffs are engaged. Village cadres have sound Local Ecological Knowledge and capacity to convince the community on different project activities. Most of the regular and project staffs have wide experience around 10 to 15 years in the areas of livelihood promotion, Agriculture field, Forestry activity intervention, Biodiversity management, Different consulting, study & Documentation works, Food Aid, ICDS , Water Management etc.

Other Collaborators

In collaboration with Odisha Forestry Sector Development Program (OFSDP) , Medicinal plant product trading and othe Income Generation activities are followed up. Other collaborating agencies like Geolysis, Aranyak Eco Harvest, Indian Gramin Services are few other organizations worked with us in the areas of MIS development, trading process and other logistics management. During this year organizations like SPARDA, PECUC, PRDA-Manipur and NRMC also joined with us and helped to extend our activities in different areas.
